Clive Lewis For Norwich South
I would like to put on record my sincere thanks to every single person that came out to campaign in Norwich South over the general election campaign.
To all the people that delivered leaflets, knocked on doors, stuffed envelopes, shared content on social media, attended events, sang in the city centre and talked to their friends about why they should vote Labour, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the reason that we have kept Norwich South Labour in the midst of a sea of Tory seats across the East of England.
While the national picture has been hard to take, and we must all take the time to reflect and understand why this happened, it does not take away from the campaign locally in which we convinced thousands of people that there was still hope in a achieving more equal and just society.
Our movement is one of people. People that care about our common future. And I am so proud of how our community came together to fight the hatred and lies that we were confronted with. Together we are strong – the fight is not over.
Again, thank you.
