On Saturday 13th July, I attended the Lord Mayor’s Procession.

Thousands turned out to watch the Procession, hosted by Norwich City Council. Hundreds of children and adults drummed, danced and performed their way through the city, watched on by thousands more. A spectacular day, thank you Norwich.

The Procession was part of the Lord Mayor’s Weekend with the theme of ‘Norwich Loves You’. This theme resonated strongly, given our city’s ambition to be a place where all feel safe and welcomed.

The procession included some of the city’s civic dignitaries in colourful historic costumes, marching musical bands, acrobats, giant puppets, carnival flags and feathers.
