I enjoyed visiting IntoUniversity at their local learning centre in Norwich for one of their FOCUS programmes with a local school.

IntoUniversity is a remarkable charity that provides a safe and supportive learning environment for young people in some of Britain’s most disadvantaged communities. It inspires students to achieve their full potential through after-school study sessions, mentoring, and structured FOCUS programmes.

Last week’s theme was Creative Arts, where students explored role models and their aspirations for the future. It was a privilege to share my experiences of attending university and hear about their ambitions and motivations. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were truly inspiring, and it was clear how much opportunities like these can shape their confidence and future goals.

Access to education and mentorship plays a crucial role in helping young people unlock their potential, and organisations like IntoUniversity are making a real difference in breaking down barriers to higher education. I left feeling encouraged by the students’ passion and determination and hopeful for their bright futures.
